Mid semester

Monday, April 20, 2009

It is that time of the year again. Mid semester tests..time to reflect on what you have been doing for the first half of the semester.

I realised I should have studied from the beginning. Too late now.

I will now start to give it all my best.

頑張ります!

Handbook to Start 2009

Saturday, February 14, 2009

Health

1. Drink plenty of Water
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and have dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more food that grows on trees and plants, rather than food manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's - Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
5. Make time to practice yoga, meditation and prayer.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2008.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes every day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10 - 30 minute walk everyday, and while you walk, smile.

Personality

1. Don't compare your lives with others. You have no idea what their life journey is all about.
2. Don't have negative thoughts on things you can't control. Invest your energy in the positive present moment.
3. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
6. Dream more while you are awake.
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
12. Realise that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last you a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more.
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Society

1. Call your family often.
2. Each day give something good to others.
3. Forgive everyone with everything.
4. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
5. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
6. What people think of you is none of your business.
7. Your job won't take care of you when you're sick. Your family and friends will, stay in touch.

Life

1. Do the right thing.
2. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
3. However bad the situation is, it will change.
4. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
5. The best is yet to come.
6. When you wake up every morning, be grateful that you're still alive.
7. Your Inner Most is always happy, so be happy.

Happy V Day

Happy V Day to all =]

Have you made three people smile today?

Anyway, in this current climate, it's fair to re-use some campaign slogan created during WWII.

irresponsible, ignorant, incompetent people

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Gosh.

I cannot imagine people who refuse to learn, refuse to contribute to society.

It's fine by me if you do that within your own space and time. However, if you are trying to influence others to be like you, then you should be ashamed of yourself.

A quote from 'Blood Diamond' : "God left this place a long time ago."

It's true if you look around you. Law abiding, hardworking citizens are being placed in havoc situations caused by irresponsible, ignorant and incompetent people.

You ask "why?", there is no clear answer.

Best explanation would be it is a integrated design flaw in humans - human's greed and desire to outshine others.

Social injustice anyone?

I recently acquired a 2009 management organiser from Allianz. There was an extra page that I think is worth sharing.

Happy New Year!! May all your wishes come true =]

I just deleted my old blog. I found the posts tedious and boring. Started this new blog with a more friendly and simple design. The old one was kinda..over the top.

Anyway, I will try something called AdSense? Hope they approve my application *crosses fingers*

As this is a brand new blog, I have yet to decide what the main content of this blog will be. I am thinking technology-related stuff. Maybe if I have time I will set up a personal blog too. Hehe.

I have recently replaced my laptop! When I say 'replace', it is actually merely upgrading it. I use to have one of the oldest laptops in the Toshiba Satellite series and now I am using the Satellite L310. So far so good. What can I say? It's a Toshiba. My old laptop was with me for 4 years? Never had problems, except that it had shockingly little internal memory. I should've waited till the launching of Quadcore processors and Microsoft 7. Oh well. =\

Bollocks. My course adviser seemed to disappeared. I need her permission to overload! Damn online registration thing that blocks off extra credit points. I am still waiting for her to reconfirm my course structure.

Sorry, no pictures at the moment. Will blog more later.

Ciao.
